P2 08K40 & PCIe-1429 Problem

Dear Sir.

I'm testing the line scan camera P2 08K40 (Dalsa) and PCIe-1429

When I grab the image in the freerun mode, that is OK,

but, I set the Mode 6 (use the line trigger with Encoder), then the image is something wrong.

What happen to do this?

Please check the PPT file, camera file, and program,

somebody help me, I'm very urgent.

Hello redfield,

Read the Dalsa P2-4x-8k40 (1429) Compatibility Report on the Dalsa camera file page. Pay special attention to the Frames/Sec and Comments columns, and make sure your setup complies to this document.


A couple of other things to try:

First, try getting an image in the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).  Does the Snap and Grab work in MAX when you set the Exposure Mode to 6?

Make sure you have the latest NI-IMAQ driver (Version 3.5.1).  If you do not, install it by downloading the Vision Acquisition Software.  When you install the Vision Acquisition Software, select Evaluation and do a custom install.  You only need to install the NI-IMAQ 3.5.1 portion.

You can also try using the attached camera file DalsaP2-4x8k40-myMAX.  This camera file is slightly different.

Lastly, if you want to try and manually edit the camera file yourself, you can download and install the latest Camera File Generator software.
