Ni Vision Development Module expensive

Hello,

We are  currently using an evaluation version of the NI Vision Development Module, but we use only a basic set of vi's: "convert array to image" and writing image to disk. Many functions that include advanced image processing won't be needed for our application.

Are there simpler and cheaper versions of this module that include a limited basic set of vi's ?

At this time there are no sub-packages available for the Vision Development Module and the IMAQ Array to Image function is only available with that module.  If you could live without the IMAQ Array to Image function, the IMAQ Image to Array function is available with the only the driver installed.  With a little extra work, you may also be able to use the Write JPEG File, Write PNG File, or Write BMP File VIs (available in the LabVIEW Full - Professional Dev. Systems) to help you with your solution, but it would require a little more work than simply using the VIs supplied in the Vision Development Module.
