Hey folks,
Right now I am using NI-OPC to read PLC data from the Siemens S7-300 controller using a switch that sends data from the controller to the server room where the NI-OPC server reads some of the PLC tags in real-time. I am using LabVIEW to monitor the machines in real-time, but due to the large number of tags, it's hard to manage and deal with them in LabVIEW.
I want some way in which I can use python for real time machine monitoring, and make a UI where the machine's functioning would be visible.
I am not able to find any method to do this, neither I am able to find OPC UA server that can read PLC tags as NI-OPC and which can integrate with python as NI-OPC do with LabVIEW nor I am able to find how I can use NI-OPC and python, without using LabVIEW.
Please help me out if any one have any knowledge regarding this. I would be really grateful.
