L-Skeleton implementation

I'm looking for any information about algorithm used for IMAQ Skeleton function (especially L-Skeleton) in IMAQ Visoin library. IMAQ Vision Manual obviously doesn't explain this subject sufficiently, neither doesn't provide any references relevant to this algorithm.
If anyone know something about this algorithm, share it please.

What do you need to know about the skeleton functions?
Have you looked at the Vision Concepts Manual? 9-25 adresses skeleton functionality.

I have checked before Vision Concepts Manual, but there is only writen how the skeleton function works instead of how the algorithm is implemented. There is some basic description of the algorithm, but it is impossible to implement your own on the basis of that information.
If you have any more info, share it please.
