I'm having a weird problem with IMAQ Cast Image vi during image aquisition. The Cast Image is supposed convert a 16-bit image (actually 12) to an 8-bit one using shift # =0, which should ignore the most significant 2 bit and bring the dark one to brightness. However, this just won't work during the acquisition (take the image -> cast it w/ #0 shift). It works with shifts # 1 or 2. It's also working if I save the image to file, then read it and cast. The only way to let it work with # 0 is to give a lookup table. Has anyone ever experienced this kind of behavior?
