Image Acquisition with IEEE Cameras

Hi @ all,

i have problems with IEEE Cameras. In the first case i have configure acquisation , take the snap and clear the acquisation. This is how the labview high level vi "Snap.vi" works. The problem is, that the time this approach take is too long. It takes 2 seconds to get one image from each of the four cameras. In the second case, i want to configure the acquisation once at the beginning and take only the picture in the programm flow. At the end of the programm i want to clear the acuisation. For two cameras works it in about 20 ms. But when i connect all 4 cameras there will be a error: "NI-IMAQ IEEE-1394:  (Hex 0xBFF68016) Insufficient resources available for the required video mode"

in the attachment i habe both vis.

thank you for your help.

Which function gives out that error? I suppose the allocated bandwidth is to high. Take a look into the configuration software (MAX). How did you configured your camera (resolution, frames per second, bit depth)? Reduce e. g. fps, save the new settings and start you VI, again.
Or use a second 1394-Interface board (NI-8252 or 8254R) to expand the bandwidth.

Best regards,
