IMaq vison erro: Unlicensed IMAQ vision...

Hi,
I am using Labview 6.1 with IMAQ vision 3.0.1 and IMAQ builder 6.0. When I use the vison fuctions, the system gave me a warning information" unlicensed IMAQ vision..."  I am sure I was using a correct license number when I install the IMAQ builder 6.0.
Another problem is: I can not find the "image processing" and " machine vison" menu under the "motion and vision" menu. As I remembered, I got these menus when I installed the IMAQ builder 6.0 and use the license number as same as the LabView's. Is that also because of the different license number?
All my bests

Hey CQLi,

First, I just want to clarify a few things. You said you are using IMAQ vision 3.0.1, but I am assuming that you mean the NI-IMAQ driver version 3.0.1. You also said you are using IMAQ builder 6.0, but I am assuming that you mean the IMAQ Vision Builder (which is now called Vision Assistant and comes with the Vision Development Module). And when you talk about the Vision Builder, I am assuming you are referring to the Vision add on software.

Now to answer your questions. I would recommend reinstalling the Vision software, and then when you have it reinstalled, try to activate the software again. Were you ever able to activate the software with the license that you have? If you were able to activate it before, why is the software not activated anymore? Did you install the software on a different machine? When you get the "unlicensed IMAQ Vision" error, that means that you have not activated the software properly. If you have further activation question or issues, I would recommend that you contact National Instruments directly to resolve any activation issues. I saw that you said that you used the same license number for your vision software and for LabVIEW. These will be different license numbers as they are two separate products. You should have a separate license number for your Vision software, unless you recently purchased the latest version of Vision with a developers Suite package, which I assume you didn't because you have older versions of LabVIEW and Vision. See if you can find another license number that is specifically for Vision. If you can't find one, double check to make sure that you have purchased the Vision software, and if you have, then again I would recommend contacting NI for further support with your licensing. And finally, for your other question, yes, the image processing and machine vision palettes in LabVIEW will show up when you properly have the Vision software installed and activated.

I hope this answers your questions. My final recommendation would be to upgrade you LabVIEW and your Vision software to the latest, so that you can get the added benefits that come with all the new features and functions. Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns about your licensing/activation. Thanks, and have a great day.

Regards,
DJ L.
