IMAQdx camera timeout, but works in MAX

Hi

I am running a firewire camera using IMAQdx. My VI opens the camera as controller, configures then starts capturing. On first booting the PC the camera will not respond (recieve timeout error). When I go into MAX I can aquire the video stream from the camera, I then stop the grab and exit MAX. After this my program can run the camera as expected. There must be some setup that MAX is doing that my VI is not. What have I done wrong (or not done right)?

Can you verify that this behavior also exists with an IMAQdx example?  Could you also post a screenshot of your code/MAX configuration?
