IMAQ ComplexMultiply function

I understand in general how to use the IMAQ ComplexMultiply function to filter in frequency space, but I'm wondering how the specific pixel values of the "Img Source B" (second/masking image) affects the outcome.

 - Does it matter what the image format is for "Img Source B" (8 bit; 16 bit; single, complex)?  Is one better than the other?

 - If so, how should you set the pixel values in "Img Source B" to have a masking/attenuating effect on the original transform?  Wondering if should make it a single image and use decimals?  0.5 = 50% reduction of power at that point?

Thanks,

Mike

Hello mvonstein,

1. I believe that the image format for "img source B" would have to be in complex as well.

2. As to applying masking, you can use IMAQ Mask VI to apply mask to Img B, see the thread below

Complex Image & Mask

Hopefull this helps!
