I/O device with Vision Builder for automated inspection

would like to use I/O device with Vision Builder for automated inspection in order to turn on electric motor on when i get certain results, will it be possible to control the period of time the electricity is turn on and how can i do it?

Hello Gidi,

With the Vision Builder AI you have multiple ways to communicate with external devices. (see attachment: vision builder.png) You can use the NI Smart Camera, a Compact Vision System, an Embedded Vision System or other DAQ devices to generate pulses with digital outputs.

You can also integrate LabVIEW code by selecting in NI Vision Builder AI a LabVIEW VI ( see attachment: labview vision.png)

As you can see, there are several possibilities and it al depends on your particular system and the requirements of your motor and the environment.
