How to unzoom an image?

I have a stupid question: How can I unzoom an image, which is shown in the "image display" indicator?

Thanks a lot

Just hold down SHIFT while left-clicking.  Good luck and Happy New Year!

Hi,

This is a simple question but the answer is not known to most of them. I am not sure it is mentioned anywhere in the manuals. NI has to do something in the next release, so that people will know that by default.

Thanks,

logic

Hey Logic,

This little tidbit of information is mentioned in the NI Vision for LabVIEW User Manual (page 3-2), as well as some other User Manuals/documentation that NI provides along with the Vision and Image Acquisition software. I have attached a screenshot of the page that this information is documented on. See attachment below. To find this information, all I did was open up the document and performed a search on the word "zoom" and was able to easily find the information.

In the same way, much of the other little tidbits of "should be known" information can be found in the documentation that comes with the software. Another great way to find the answer to the simple questions is to use the KnowledgeBase documents that explain the answer in detail. For example, this question was answered in the following KnowledgeBase called How Do I Zoom Out of an Image After Zooming in With the Zoom Tool?. This KnowledgeBase can be found by searching for "zoom image" on the NI web site, and the first link is the KnowledgeBase document. KnowledgeBases are another great tool to finding those simple answers.

Let us know if there is anything else that can't be found. Thanks, and have a great day.

Regards,
DJ L.

Hi,

That's Great info. Will be helpful for lot of users. I just want to give an idea about making the software explicit. Like i have seen some software giving the zoom tool with + & - symbol on it, which does not need any explanation. NI combined as a single tool, one advantage is it is saving the space.

Similar case is for clearing the ROI once you drawn on the image control. It will be on the window unless you clear programmatically or using the shortcut menu.

Thanks,
logic
