How to threshold continuous IMAQ 1394 image acquisition.

I want to threshold and invert continuously-acquired 1394 Camera images. I am using a thresholding VI generated by Vision Assistant 7.0.1. It works fine with JPGs, BMPs etc, but it does not work after the 1394 GET IMAGE VI nor the 1394 GRAB ACQUIRE VI. Why?

I've attached an example (LV 7.1), modify the parameters for the color-treshold and it should work!
