How to create ROIs into an image

Hi all,

In order to obtain the mean intensities of different parts, I need to create several ROIs into a flow of images obtained by using PCO sensicam CCD.  In this way, I can compare the inteansities of different parts in those of images as a function of time. Also, I hope to change the created ROIs whenever I want.

Thanks

hi changxi,

you can do that with using 'IMAQ construct ROI.vi'. the logic is bit tricky. this vi aallows you to create single ROI, but you can use it multiple times for each ROI. store those ROI calues in a single files. and when you measure the intensity feed this ROI to vi.

you can change the created ROI by using mouse position, if your ROIs are not overlapping.

You could use the 'IMAQ ROIProfile' VI (Functions Palette >> Vision and Motion >> Image Processing >> Analysis) to get the mean pixel value in the ROI. You could then programmatically change the ROI and accordingly obtain the mean value for each ROI.
