How to acquire data from a User Defined Grid of Region of Interests (ROIs) on an image?

Hello!

Is it possible to get or extract a 'numerical value' of a specific color per grid after I have divided the image into multiple region of interests (ROI)? A picture of the sample is attached below.

This is for indicating how much the plant has grown by detecting how much the color green is occupying the area. I am confused what to do and where they'll be inserted in the VI. Thank you in advance!

Hi,

I believe you can benefit from the IMAQ ColorHistogram tool which will give you mean value, standard deviation etc.

You can use the whole image or create a mask region and use just that masked part with this function. If you start using more simple regions like a rectangle for first try, you may understand the working mechanism of function better.
