Thank you for contacting National Instruments. Are you able to snap the images correctly in MAX? In your VB code, are the images that you snap very different, in other words what are the major differences between the images that you see? If the device is connected properly with the correct timing signals, then we would expect a snap to return the correct image each time.
Also, since this is a digital image source, then you will want to make sure you have a valid camera file to use with this device. Be sure that you are using a camera file designed for this device and not another. There is a document on our website that discusses using some of the other flat panel sensors by Hamamatsu:
