Dalsa Falcon2 .icd camera file?

Hello all,

Does anyone have a camera file for the Dalsa Falcon2? Also in general, has anyone used this camera before/have experience with it (8MP or 12MP versions)?

I'm thinking of buying 2 of them and having a working/tested camera file is one of the criteria we're using on our decision (the other choice is the Toshiba-teli CleverDragon 12M, which has been out for a while and has up to date icd files readily available).

I've tried searching this forum, the NI camera file ftp directory (ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/imaq/camera_support/camera_files/digital/dalsa/), and the NI industrial camera advisor (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nipc.get_camera_list?p_camera_status=C&asid=1102) with no luck. I realize I can use NI's camera file generator to make one myself, but since I don't have the camera in hand I can't test this, and don't have experience to know if I could generate an icd file that truly has all the features of the camera enabled for MAX and LV.

I've contact Dalsa through a camera supplier but am waiting for an answer, so am asking here in the meantime...

For future reference, I learned from Dalsa this camera is not compatible with NI - hence lack of any camera files. According to Dalsa it uses GenCP protocol which is not NI/LV compliant.

Glad I didn't get one!
