Create a Labview VI in Vision Assistance 7.1 does not work

Hi All:
I have Labview 8.2 , Ni-IMAQ 7.1.1 and NI Vision Assistant 7.1.1,  but when I try to Create a Labview VI I got the message "Migrating this inspection to LabVIEW requires that you have LabVIEW 6.1 or higher and IMAQ Vision 7.1 or higher installed on your machine"
Any Idea how to fix it?

Thanks in advance
Francisco

Hi Francisco,

Do you have the Vision Development module installed on your machine?
Vision Assistant requires the IMAQ Vision library to be installed as well to generate LabVIEW code.

Thanks Christophe:

When you install the Vision Development module you get the  NI Vision Assistant 7.1.1 installed.....

thanks

Hi,

There must have been an installation problem. You might have installed IMAQ Vision before installing LabVIEW.
Anyway, here's how to fix the problem without reinstalling:
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\IMAQ Vision\7.1.1, set the value of the key LV82PATH to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\
(or whatever path your LabVIEW is installed)
Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Best regards,

-Christophe
