Cannot install driver (old drv detected)

I tried to install the IMAQ 3.7 driver. 

It says it detected an older version of IMAQ and asked me to remove it first. 

So i did, thru windows add/remove software.

But the old driver is still somehow being detected by NI explorer and the new version refuses to be installed. 

Help!

Hello Mike,

Thank you for using our discussion forums.  Do you have LabVIEW 6.0 on your computer?  If so, this KB will be able to hopefully solve your issue.

NI-IMAQ was installed as part of LabVIEW 6.0, it was installed within LabVIEW 6.0's metainstaller, and as a result, the new version of NI-IMAQ is unable to remove the old version of the driver.
