I was able to download the setup file successfully. Make sure you right-click on 'Setup.exe' and select 'Save Link As...' . If this still does not work, try a different browser.
I hope this helps.

You may have a firewall that prevents exe files from being downloded or files that exceed a certain size. I zipped up the setup.exe and put the zip file here:
ftp://ftp.ni.com/outgoing/Camera File Generator.zip
If that doesn't work, you'll need to download it from somewhere that lets you download files this large and copy it on a memory stick or something to get it to your computer.
Hope this helps,
Brad

I am having trouble getting the NI Camera File Generator to even come up after installing the Labview Third Quarter 2009 Updates.
I have tried un-installing and re-installling the NI Camera File Generator.
I use this link for the software download: ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/imaq/pc/ni-imaq/cfgenerator/2.0.3/
Then I install the software and try to run the program. A Camera File Generator Splash screen appears then Hangs. Funny thing about the splash screen is that the version says it is 2.0.2. The program hangs with the processor is using 100% of its capability. I have to end the program by using the task manager.
I also did change out my IMAQ Hardware, but don't know if this is affecting anything. I had a NI-1428, and I changed it out to a NI-1427.
Could someone verify that the Camera File Generator works with the Labview Third Quarter 2009 updates installed?
Also, does the 2.0.3 cfgenerator download say that it is version 2.0.2 on the splash screen?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Ben,
The issue with the splash screen displaying version 2.0.2 instead of 2.0.3 has been noted here - there is no current fix for it. However, I am not sure why the Camera File Generator is hanging on your PC.Would you please try running the Camera File Generator without any IMAQ hardware installed and let us know what happens? Also, what operating system (and service pack) do you have?
Look forward to hearing from you.

I see the problem of hanging at the splash screen also, with Vista Business 64-bit Sevice Pack 1, LabVIEW 2009, NI-IMAQ 4.3, and a PCIe-1427 card, and on a machine with XP Service pack 3, Runtime Engine 8.6, NI-IMAQ 3.1.3, and a PCI-1407 card. At the moment I don't have any machines with NI-IMAQ installed but no IMAQ hardware.

I am using Windows XP Professional.
I removed my IMAQ card from the computer then booted the computer. I then checked MAX to confirm that the card did not show up.
I tried starting the NI Camera File Generator and it hung on the splash screen again.
As a side note, I did notice that there is an entry in MAX that is present whether the NI-IMAQ card is present or not. That entry is the NI-IMAQdx device cam0 : Framelink Capture. I don't know where that is coming from.

I am also having issues with NI File generator hanging up. I thought it was just with one PC, but all of then have the same problem. And not all PCs have the same IMAQ configuration. The application will not go beyond the process screen. I'm glad I am not the only one having this issue.
Is there a fix for this issue.
