Can we interface a mobile camera to a compact RIO using an USB port?

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear all,

We are planning to connect a mobile camera to a compact RIO using a USB port. In case, if this interface is possible, is it the same way of capturing an image using NI IMAQdx functions. Earlier we have used a web camera interface to compact RIO and it has a frame rate constraint of 25 fps (640*480). Kindly let me know the possible way of interfacing a mobile camera with a cRIO.

Thanks and regards

Sukumar.

I am not an expert but as far as I know these camera modules are usually MIPI based, not usb, isn't it ?

Hi,

You cannot interface a Mobile phone camera with a Compact-RIO. Refer to the below link where It is menitoned that only USB3, GigE and Internet Protocol (IP) cameras are supported for use with cRIO-
