Unfortunately, because you are asking about 3rd party lenses, I can't offer you much advice as I am not familiar with those lenses.  If you have some questions about setting up your Vision application, I will do my best to help.

I suggest that you contact Edmund Optics or Graftek Imaging -- both NI Alliance members.  They should be able to better advise you about which lens to use.

neither has a section of lens for which i'm looking.

hopefully others will have used lenses which they can reccommend.

so far this forum is not a lot of use, it is mainly for beginners debugging code.

why haven't you commented on my Basler 1900 thread?

NI is supposed to support Basler products. I see no GiGe drivers in NI Vision or Vision Acquisition.

I see no solutions for storage of raw 12-bit linear data at 24fps. I see codec support either.

Hello,

I'm sorry we can't help you further with your issue regarding those specific lenses.
Unfortunately NI is not a lens manufacturer, so I am unable to provide you specific commentary on the lenses you were curious about; besides the few Computar lens that we resell.

With regards to the Basler 1900 Camera, we do resell and support a few cameras by Basler, but the 1900 is not one of them.  If you need a GigE camera driver, you can purchase our Vision Acquisition Software, which contains the IMAQdx driver, which supports GigE cameras.
