Hi,
I have a problem connecting a Bresser MicroCam 5.0 DirectShow camera ( http://goo.gl/FKsqq ) to LabVIEW on Windows7 x86. I've installed IMAQdx, DirectShow (even though from what I've found it looks like it's included in DirectX?) and all the device drivers.
The camera is listed in MAX under "NI-IMAQdx Devices", I can modify the parameters though when I press "Snap" MAX stops hangs up.
Strange thing is it's working perfectly well with MikroCamLab, the software by Bresser...
Here's the manual (not much info inside though...) http://goo.gl/LMbP0
Did any of you ever have a similar problem?
Cheers!

No problems connecting an old Creative webcam, looks like Bresser Microcams don't use DirectShow thus making them impossible to use with LabVIEW...
Best,

Many DirectShow drivers for non-webcam cameras (where their primary API/usage is through a some vendor-provided software) are of fairly dubious quality and tend to have compatibility issues with any software that exercises them slightly more than simple example programs.
