Basler Camera compatability

Hi ,

Can anybody let me know NI I MAQ  vision drivers for  Basler SC640-70c  ieee1394 b color camera  is laready available?.

Also will this camera is compatible to  NI8252 frame grabber (ieee1394a).

The Basler Scout cameras have been extensively tested with NI-IMAQdx 3.0 and later. Here is the compatibility report for the monochrome version of the camera. Essentially the firmware is the same on the monochrome and color variants. The only difference is the sensor output.

You will need a 1394a to 1394b cable or dongle to use the Scout camera with a NI PCI-8252. The only limitation is that you will be limited to 4096 bytes per packet on 1394a instead of 8192 bytes per packet on 1394b. With less bandwidth available you will run at slightly slower framerates than the camera is capable of.
