Acquistion Timeout Ni 1422

We are getting the following error. Acquisition Timeout. Not all of the incoming data was captured within the Acquisition timeout. Increase the Acquisition timeout value in the settings. reduce acquisition window size, make sure the cameria is powered and conneted to the IMAQ device.

we have done all of hte above suggetions and still getting an error. but before this error apares we get random dots on our screen. This is a custom made cameria, which we are controling from an FPGA spartian 3.

Thanks for your post.  Acquisition timeouts are generally caused as a result of the camera file used (selected in Measurement and Automation Explorer) for your camera.  We make a variety of camera files for most industry cameras, however custom cameras often require many modifications. 

Make sure the camera file you are using has the correct parameters defined for your camera (frame rates, image sizes, etc).  While National Instruments does not support camera file development, we do have a tool that is useful for modifing these types of files called the NI Camera File Generator.
