Acquisition source for localhost

NI vision Acquisition express toolbox ( double click )--> Select Acquisition source -->Simulated acquisition-->AVI.

Is there any perticular format of .avi file or any .avi video file will do the work?? because I have few .avi video file in which few will load while few shows some error message. If there is any perticular .avi format can anyone specify in detail?? would be of great help..

In general - *.avi file is just container for the video. Different codecs can be used in different videos. NI supported not all codecs - this is a reason why you will get an error. You can get list of supported codecs from IMAQ AVI2 Get Codec Names.
