Dear Eng.Salman

We used these products in our previous application.

You need Vison Acquisition SW or NI Imaq for IEEE1394 SW for your application but these are not free of charge 😞

You can download Vision Acguisition SW 8.2.3 from this link for evaluation.

And also you need Vision Develeopment Module sw for labview based vision application development

Thank you so much for your response >>>

But, I would like to inform you that I have a 1394 host adapter (NI PXI-8252) and I have ordered the entire instruments from ME NI and they were aware what we will use those instruments for. So, I think this should be able to complete the task.

Advice me please!!? Smiley Sad

🙂
https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pci-8252.html this page says that PXI-8252 include NI Imaq for IEEE1394. If you have this SW you can grab images from your camera in Measurement and Automation Explorer. Your camera should be listed under Devices and Interfaces section.

For more and detailed information please send to me your HW and SW configuration.

Nothing will show up for the PXI-8252.  It is just a firewire card.  Once you plug a firewire camera into it, you should have a camera show up in MAX.  Select your driver for the camera by right clicking on the camera in MAX.

Just to add to Bruce's response, you need to ensure that Vision Acquisition is installed in order to see the camera in MAX. If the PXI card you bought is bundled with Vision Acquisition, you should have received a CD and serial number in the box for it.
