3D CIELab color space plot

Hello,
i have some measured color samples and i wish to present them on a 3D CIELab color space graph.
there is a similer example in the example finder: "Color Distance Example" which uses a 2D triangle to present the color samples.
i would like to do the same but with a 3D CIElab graph (the 2D triangle does not inclued all of the colors)
can anyone please help?

Dear EyeZik,

Could you use a 3D graph control, specify the axis to be A, B, & L, and then use custom color maps for each axis?

Take a look at this post and let me know if this is what you want to do:

legend for 3d graph

Note that the size of the 3d graph internal color map is limited to 256 elements. If you specify more than 256 elements, the 3D graph linearly samples the array to create an array of 256 elements. Will this give you the resolution that you need for your display?

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,

~Nate
