1456 camera not found

Hello,

I have a CVS 1456 connected to my PC through a Switch with a firewire camera connected to it.  I can configure the CVS 1456 in MAX and grab images etc., however, I am unable to initialize the camera with any of the IMAQdx VI's.

I have tried the enumerate cameras.VI, discover ethernet cameras.VI, and the open camera.VI but no VI's seem to be able to detect the camera via the CVS. 

What am I doing wrong here?

Hello Nathan,

I suspect you are not using a Project.  If you just open a new VI and write your code, the code will look for cameras connected to your PC (but not also those connected to your CVS).  From the LabVIEW Getting Started splash screen, select a new Empty Project.  If you do not see your CVS-1456 listed within the Project Explorer window, you will need to right-click on the project name and select New Targets and Devices.  Using the Add Targets and Devices window, you can then add your CVS-1456.  After adding your CVS, you can right-click on the CVS and select options such as Connect and New VI.  The code you write in the VI that appears under the CVS will look for the camera you have connected to the CVS.
