unrecoverable internal error while creating active x control on gui

Hi,

First, some background.  I developed a program with an ActiveX control and everything ran fine on my development PC (Win XP SP3, LabWindows 9.0.1 build 375).  I then installed the program on a second PC and everything ran fine.

However, on the third PC I installed my program on it wouldn't start.  I recieved a Windows error telling me the program encountered a problem and needed to close.  When I checked out the error report it pointed to the ActiveX control as being the problem.

In order to troubleshoot the problem I loaded LabWindows on the problem PC (again, Win XP SP3, LabWindows 9.0.1 build 375).  While trying to load the project I recieved a message that my .uir file was corrupted.  I removed the ActiveX control and the project loaded fine.  I then tried to create the ActiveX control (this is all on the problem PC) and I recieved the following message:

error.PNG

At this point LabWindows crashes with the following message popping up multiple times:

untiltled.PNG

If anyone can offer any help I greatly appreciate it.

I've installed this program on two more PC with one install working fine and the other the same problem.  It may be that the .ocx file is the problem but I've copied the file from my development PC to the problem PC and still see the problem.

Hi TestEngineer,

This is an unusual issue.  It makes me wonder what the differences between the three PCs.  What is installed on all three of the machines (full development system of CVI or only the CVI runtime engine)?

You may want to try using remote debugging to troubleshoot this issue.
