sending email through gmail-Error -1172

Hi, i am new . trying to figure out this VI codes. When i key in my gmail accout and run the program, i face the Error -1172 . I am not sure if i need to edit some SMTP server setting or the port setting. can any1 explain why i keep having this error?

I hope this error due to the Proxy setting. you may need to set the proxy settings to communicate the smtp.

I also facing the same situation when I tried to sending email through Gmail error 1172 it shows an error iTunes sync error 54, so I really want a proper solution how to remove this error then please share with me.
