It is necessary programming pxi-6509 with task?

(All examples in NIFinder programs with task)

that is:

DAQmxCreateTask

DAQmxCreateDOChan

DAQmxStarTask

DAQmxWriteDigitalLines

or maybe there is another way to do this ?

Hi norak,

That's how DAQmx library works. It is built around tasks.

I would also prefer a hardware based library, probably there is a good reason NI did it that way.

There is the legacy NI-DAQ driver (no task stuff) but it does not support all devices.

Check if your device is supported by that one and you can use it as long as it suits your needs.

I know that driver, but I suppose that DAQmx has all functionality to control the hardware?

anyway I assume that both of them can work together.
