I know that it's possible to use some amount of variable data to produce the version number of installers and build output. 

 

But Is it possible to pull variables or macros from source code as my build version?  This would be very handy!

Hi,

 

I am using the macro _TARGET_PRODUCT_VERSION_ which yields major, minor, service and build version (but without the autoincrement)

Wolfgang, thanks for that info.  I didn't know about the built-in macros.  These are very helpful!
