Report generator Excel Data anlysis not working

When I open excel normally it shows that I have the data anlysis add-in installed, and I can access it through the tools menu.

If I use labview to create an excel file the add-in is still checked but I cannot access it through the tools menu (as if it were not installed)

If I uncheck.. then re-check the box  data analysis becomes availale.

does labview have a function to disable/enable add ins? I've tried using a macro to enable the add in.. but it does not seem to do anything. I may be able to create one which disables.. then enables it and try that. (repeating my manual fix from line 2)

Have you tried asking in the LabVIEW forum?

Hi,

What do you mean by the add-in is checked or unchecked?  I unfortunately do not have the add in installed on my computer and cannot test it, but if you direct me to where I can get the addon and post up a snippet of the code, I'll have a look at it.  The macro idea is a good idea for a workaround.

Let me know how it goes,

I guess he means the Excel Add-ins, that you can find under the "Tools->Add-Ins" Tab (ie Analysis toolpak).

I am having the same problem... is there a solution? can i Check/UnCheck those Add-Ins using Labview?

Thanks,

Yaron

Yaron,

You should ask questions concerning LabVIEW in the LabVIEW forum, where you might get much better help. This thread erroneously started in the wrong forum, as pointed out earlier by msaxon, so there is not much use continuing the discussion here.

Good luck!
