Problems: Adding the GPIB (NI488.2 interface) Active-X Control to my VC++ 6.0 project

Hey folks!

I'm writing a software that needs to communicate with a power supply via
GPIB interface.

Since I have ComponentWorks and CVI installed on my computer I was looking
for a convinient way to get this done!

At the National Instruments homepage I found an article about how to use a
ComponentWorks ActiveX control. Here is the link:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/devzoneweb.nsf/opendoc?openagent&10939A193932150D
8625680400698DD0&cat=9566475952290F3486256800007D9424

Unfortunately I don't find the GPIB-Active Control in my ActiveX-Control
list ( open VC++ go to Menu -> Project -> Add To Project -> Components and
Controls -> Registered ActiveX Controls)

All the other
CW ActiveX control are in the list even a GPIBNotify Control!

The software should be installed correctly as far as I know.

What do I have to do to get the GPIB cotrol installed correctly?

Thank you for any input!

Sorry bothering you!

I just realized that my system admin did not install the NI488.2 software
correctly! I could fix it and finally found the GPIB ActiveX control!
