Larger distribution kit after update (9.1 / 2009)

After applying the recent security update to the RTE for CVI 9.1.1 (aka 2009) my distribution kit has jumped from ~12MB to ~26 MB. I only have the Standard RTE and Analysis Library checked for the installer.  The culprit is the inclusion of a number of mfc90_ dll files.

Can the jump in size be avoided, or are those files now necessary?

I had a similar issue, see here, there seems not to be a possibility to avoid the size increase
