LabWindows vs VisualStudio

I have to write a windows app dealing with comm ports, a
friendly interface, a database and displaying wave files.

What would you choose ? VisualStudio or LabWindows/CVI ?

As an employee of National Instruments, I am of course biased, but I recommend
Labwindows CVI over Visual Studio because our product is easier to learn
how to use. The environment not only has a plethora of built-in libraries,
including the RS 232 and User Interface libraries, but it also comes with
expansion options such as the internet and SQL toolkits. Furthermore, CVI
has several time-saving features, such as automatic source code generation
for the user interface and very intuitive instrument driver developing features.
I have used both Visual Studio and Measurement Studio, and I have concluded
that Measurement Studio, which includes Labwindows/CVI, is easier to learn.
