Interact with rs-232 (receive msg and enter response) using textbox in CVI

Hi,

I'm trying to use TextBox to receive and response to UUT via RS-232.  I'm new to CVI and looking for some advices or examples.

My application is to receive a Bist test menu from UUT and then enter test selection to run and display test run results(similar to Hyperterminal, TeraTerm). Any help is very appreciated!

I suggest you begin studying the RS232 samples distributed with CVI: you can look into samples folder inside cvi directory: even if simple, these samples hold all you need to begin communicating with some equipments.

After looking at them, I also suggest you to search the forum for rs232-related arguments: serial communication is a popular argument and you can find several resources on it.
