Badly formed pathname - LabWindows 2015

I upgraded to LabWindows 2015 back when I received my update in the mail, but before today, I was unable to compile any projects (old projects from 2013 SP2).

The message I was consistantly getting was 'Error writing project file "c:\CVI\PROJ_NAME\PROJ.prj" (badly formed pathname)'

So I have been unable to get any of my old projects to compile.

I am running Windows 7.

I looked thru the .prj file in Notepad, and I couldn't see any paths that looked screwed up.

Today I just managed to get a project to stop whining about the badly formed pathname.  To do this, I had to remove all files that weren't in a "Folder" in the project tree (Source Files, Include Files, Instrument Files, and User Interface Files).  I had stashed some files in the project tree for ease of access... things like a readme.txt file, an ini file, and a .chm help file.

Why would this have changed between v2013 and v2015?  Is there any way to include these files in the project without causing the same issue?

Thanks!

-Matt

I normally have additional files added to my projects the same as you and have no problems in compilation.

What if you create a folder for support files in the project tree and add those files there? To create the folder use Add folder... option in the context menu for the project name in the project tree.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
