xy graph: increment not (always) working as desired

I have an annoying issue with graphs: I have a feature where there are automatically PDF reports created with graphs.

To get proper marker spacing I set the minimum value (0) , the maximum (find max value) and for increment I select max-min/6  (I want 6 marker points).

The exact same code works for some arrays with data, and doesnt for others :S Check the snippet I attached and I have attached a PDF too.

With the PDF I have the problem on the X axis, where the time refuses to space properly. Laview puts as many marker spacings as it can fit there.

Any suggestions?

You could always try using the MarkerVals[] property along with an assist from Array Max/Min and Ramp.

I will try that. But why am I getting mixed behavior? -sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt-. Is this the wrong way to get what I want?

MarkerVals allows you to explicitly specify the Marker Values, nice when you do not want uniform spacing.

As to what you are seeing, without having code which displays the behaviour to play with, it is difficult for me to guess.
