xvid filter load problem

I have installed the Xvid codec on Windows Xp SP2. But when I tried to load the codec in a *.vi the system doesn`t find the codec.

The Xvid codec appears in the properties of hardware devices for the "Sound and Audio Devices Properties" window in the video codecs device. But the other codes installed appear in Labview, only I have problems when I try to use the Xvid codec.

So, what could be the problem? Any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Ramses.

Your posting is unclear. Do you use Vision or activex to play your videos in Labview.

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

I use Vision. My goal is encode a streaming of video on real-time, then I work with the IMAQ AVI api from "Vision and Motion"->"Vision utilities"->"Files"->"AVI".

Your problem is more clear now. But I have not used Vision, so I can not help you. But good luck anyway with your problem

Unfortunately, the Xvid filter codec is not supported.

See here for a bug related to missing codecs:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Missing-Codecs-in-AVI-Compressor-Comparison-Example/td-p/1403208

Very annoying bug.  But only related to the 64 bit version of LabVIEW.

Still waiting for NI to fix it.
