Hi Casiopea, (love the name...is it spelled the same way as the jellyfish, constellation, or the band?)
The SPEEDY-33 does not have any File I/O VIs. Having direct access to non-volitile memory (flash) is not available. In the case of storing data to the RAM of the SPEEDY, LabVIEW takes care of that for you. A control inside of a SPEEDY-33 VI is essentially a bit of memory (RAM) storing the data. So when you make an array, you are storing data to the RAM.
The Flash memory is primarily reserved for when you want to deploy a Flash Memory Build (comparative to an exe) onto the SPEEDY-33 and have the program persist through reboots. I hope that helps clarify.

Thanks so much for your reply. Now, lemme play with the arrays in order to store my captured sound and play later, but it is my dissapoinment that not too many things or VIs that are available for normal applications (i.e., non-dsp board based) are available for Speedy-33.
~Casiopea
ps: The name is inspired by and stems from the famous constellation, Cassiopea which I liked very much, but mine has one missing "s." It is a W shaped star-group in the sky, and very easy to locate in the sky at dark. If you go 5 units from the legs of the W, one comes across the Polaris, northern star.
