writing data to excel

hi all,

I am trying to log data to excel from labview 2011 as part of a bulding control system.

Take a simple vi with a boolean switch and led.

I want to log to excel every time the switch is pressed.

Can anyone offer some help on doing this??

Have you looked at the examples that come with LabVIEW? You can choose to create a text file that Excel can open (Write to Spreadsheet file, Write to Measurement File), TDMS and use an Excel plug-in, or native Excel with ActiveX. Numerous examples of that in the Excel Board (do NOT post a question there.)
