There seems to be a problem in LabVIEW 8.0. It comples just fine in LabVIEW 8.2 or higher.

Of course the code makes very little sense. What are you actually trying to do with this??? 😮

tjjuggle,

I get the same error when I open your example in 8.0, but as altenbach mentioned, it works fine in later versions.

I don't know why the error is occurring.  It seems to only occur when you have an initialized shift register going to decimate array and then to back to the shift register.  A workaround would be to instead use a feedback node (right-click the shift register and select "Replace with Feedback Node).

This was reported to R&D (# 3U274EFI) and was fixed in LabVIEW 8.2. Here is a link to the current evaluation software download for LabVIEW.  Thanks!
