when i run labview6.1 on my pc with windows the "DAQ Solution " was gary doesn't work i don't know why ?i don't have a daq board card is that a reason? i want to know what should i have to use labview in data acquisition?

I don't have any daq hardware on my laptop but the control is active. All you probably need to do is install NI-DAQ software. MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer)lists the NI software installed and what version.

i dowloaded NI-Daq 6.9.1.exe and the labV61.exe which are compatible with labview6.1 from the ni site and the daq solution is working now i will try use it then thank you Dennis you are great

With the NI-DAQ driver, you can build VIs, but you can not acquire data until you have a Data Acquisition card. You can get these from National Instruments over the web or by calling.
