I have a Usb 6009 and Labview 8.5 software. I am looking for a Pressure sensor and a strain gauge that I can use with the USB 6009. I am really new to all of this and just doing school experiments.
Thanks for any offered help.

Hi there,
Have you tried looking at this guide on the ni website?

The 6009 is not going to be able to give you very accurate readings and we do not have sensors we directly recommend for the 6009. It has an absolute accuracy of 1.5mV at the ±1V differential measurement level, and 14.7mV when doing ±20V differential or ±10V RSE measurements. It also cannot supply excitation voltage or excitation current which are needed for strain and other bridge-based measurements. Therefore excitation must be supplied externally, which is fine and a lot of people do it.
The tough part are those accuracy specifications which, depending on what sensor you use, could cause dramatic error. It is important to know the voltage range of the sensor and calculate how the accuracy of the measurement device (6009) relates to an error in real world pressure or strain.
The site James showed is a great guide that explains different types of measurements and readings. There is also a great website Sensor Solutions from National Instruments / Honeywell which has direct links to Honeywell's product pages for their sensors which we recommend.
