weird behavior of cluster

Hi all:

I'm using a cluster in a front panel to get some info from the user.
Later, some values are obtained from this cluster using a local
variable. The problem is that always the last value in the cluster is
lost. The cluster is made of 6 string controls and if all 6 are filled
up in the front panel, only the first 5 have data. Weird uh?

Any idea of what is happening?

Have you checked for race conditions? Perhaps your local variable is getting data before you write it all. This is a common problem when using local and globals. The best option may be to use a wire to pass data along, and avoid the local if you can (or want).
