Hi,

I had been ask to collect a sample sound waveforms and do a comparison with a original waveform for it. The problems i'm facing now is grabbing the particular waveforms and doing a comparison on it.

Have you looked at using the Digital Comparison.vi?  It compares a digital waveform to another digital waveform.  I have never used it before but it sounds like a good place for you to start.

For analog comparison, you can use the Limit Testing function on the Signal Processing>Waveform Measurements>Waveform Monitoring palette. You can also take frequency, amplitude, etc. measurements and compare them.
