Will Vi's written in Labview 7.1 with Windows XP for execution on an XP machine function the same on a new machine with the new Vista operating system or will there be a need to rewrite code?
If you do not have any data exchanged in the registry of Windows and if you have nothing that write into the system files and nothing that check the windows version, you should not have any problem.
