using scxi 1530 vibration measurement module and analog out signal from same e series 6035 daq card simultaneously

I am developing an application in which i have to measure the acceleration using scxi 1530 module on scxi 1000 chassis. Also required is that i need to give analog out signal from the same daq card on which scxi is connected(i am using ni 6035e series). I tried out the option of connecting the wire with suitable female connector to analog out pins of the 50 pin male connector of scxi 1349 which is connected at the back of scxi chassis, but the moment i connect it, i am unable to acquire vibration signals, also i am unable to get the analog out signal either. Please help me out.

Could you attach the VI you are using?

Hi Puneet,

It looks like you're simply trying to access the lines from the SCXI-1349 so that you can use the Analog Output pins.  As I'm sure you know, the pinouts for the 50-pin connector are different than those for your 6035E DAQ board.

You will need to make sure that you are connecting the information like this:

  Channel + Channel -
DAC0Out 20 23
DAC1Out 21 23

All you need to keep in mind is that you need to simply address the AO line as if it were directly connected to your board and no need to treat it like an SCXI channel.  if you are using DAQmx, then you would simply address the line as DevX/aoY.

If you are connecting everything correctly and it's still stopping, then go ahead and show us your code, because any forced stopping of your task sounds like a programming problem and not necessarily a hardware issue.  You may want to test the AO channels on your own thru Measurement and Automation Explorer to confirm that they are behaving as expected.

Regards,
