using external code to create a cursor for a chart

Is it possible to somehow use C++ in either dll or cin form to allow me to create a cursor for an acquired chart? If so what would be the best approach?

Not as far as I know. Maybe using a only a graph might be an option. Or overlay a graph on top of the chart and then pass the chart data to the graph as an array. Make the top one transparent or change the visible properties as you see fit. There's a couple of examples that might give you some ideas. Once is called Scanning Chart with History and the others are Variable-Time Chart XY and XY Chart. The first example demonstrates a transparent graph on top of a chart and the last two show how an XY graph can be made to act like a chart.
